If your curls don’t last overnight, this routine is for you.
This works on relaxed or natural hair, and it’s all about comfort and consistency.
I’m big on being able to actually sleep and still wake up with my curls intact. I don’t want tight styles, pain, or having to redo my hair in the morning. This is what works for me.
My Night Hair Routine
I keep it simple.
I use six flexi rods — five green ones and one maroon for the top. I place them on the top of my head, not around the sides or back. That part matters.
Once the rods are in, I pull everything up using the pineapple method. I pull it up high so I’m not laying on the flexi rods while I sleep.
This setup lets me sleep on my side or my back without discomfort. I move around in my sleep, so I need something that works no matter how I turn.
Once the last rod is in, that’s the setup.
Locking It In
After that, I tie a satin scarf around my hair. Nothing tight. Just enough to keep everything secure and in place.
Then I add a bonnet on top.
That’s it.
No extra steps. No doing the most.
In the Morning
I wake up, take everything down, shake it out a little, and I’m good to go.
Simple. Comfortable.
And it actually works.
